HAT COLOR - worked in continuous rounds

Rd 1: Make a magic loop. In loop, ch 1, sc 4 (4)

Rd 2: sc 1, sc 2 in next, sc 1, sc 2 in next (6) - Tighten beginning tail and tie off to secure.

Rd 3: sc 1 in each of the next 2, sc 2 in the next st, sc 1 in each of the next 2, sc 2 in the next st (8)

Rd 4: sc 1 in each of the next 3, sc 2 in the next st, sc 1 in each of the next 3, sc 2 in the next st (10)

Rd 5: sc 1 in each of the next 4, sc 2 in the next st, sc 1 in each of the next 4, sc 2 in the next st (12)

Rd 6: sc 1 in each of the next 5, sc 2 in the next st, sc 1 in each of the next 5, sc 2 in the next st (14)

Rd 7: sc 1 in each of the next 6, sc 2 in the next st, sc 1 in each of the next 6, sc 2 in the next st (16)

Rd 8: sc 1 in each of the next 7, sc 2 in the next st, sc 1 in each of the next 7, sc 2 in the next st (18)

Rd 9: ch 3, in FRONT loops only, dc 2 in each stitch around. Slip stitch to join, tie off. (36)



HAIR COLOR - worked in joined rounds and back-and-forth rows

Row 1 (in the BACK loops of round 17): ch 1, sc around, sl st to join (18)

Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc 12*

Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc 12



FACE COLOR - Rows 1-2 worked in joined rounds and back-and-forth rows, Rows 3-4 worked in continuous rounds

Row 1: (starting in the corner of the bangs after Hair Row 2 of the hair*) sc 5, sl st to other edge of hair on Hair Row 2

Row 2: sl st to edge of hair on Hair Row 3, turn, sc 5 across the Face Row 1, sl st to other end of Hair Row 3

Row 3: ch 1, turn so you are now working so the “right” side is out, ch 1, [sc 1, sc 2 together] repeat around, sl st to join (12)

***Add facial features as desired and stuff***

Row 4: [sc 2 together] repeat around (6)

Tie off



DRESS COLOR - Worked in continuous rounds

Rd 1: ch 1, sc around (6)

Rd 2: [sc 1, sc 2 in next] repeat around (9)

Rd 3: [sc 1 in each of next 2, sc 2 in next] repeat around (12)

Rd 4: [sc 1 in each of next 3, sc 2 in next] repeat around (15)

Rd 5-7: sc around (15)

Rd 8: [sc 1 in each of next 4, sc 2 in next] repeat around (18)

Rd 9: [sc 1 in each of next 5, sc 2 in next] repeat around (21)

Rd 10: [sc 1 in each of next 6, sc 2 in next] repeat around (24)

Rd 12: sc 1 in each of next 26, slip stitch 1

***pull loop through last stitch so it’s poking out of the BACK of row 12***

Stuff body

Rd 15: slip stitch 2 tog, slip stitch 2 tog, slip stitch 1

Tie off, leave long tail. Use yarn needle to thread tail through last three stitches, pull tight to close, tie off, weave in all ends



ARM - continuous rounds

Hand color:

Rd 1: make magic loop. In loop, ch 1, sc 6 (5)

Rd 2: sc around, sl st, tie off (5) - Tighten beginning tail and tie off to secure.

***Switch to dress/sleeve color***

Rd 3: ch 1, sc around (5)

Rd 4-8: sc around (5)

Tie off, leave long tail.

Make 2, use tails to stitch on to body.

Weave in ends.


HAIR
To do hair as shown, cut about 16 pieces of hair color yarn at least twice the length you want the hair to be.
Fold one piece in half. Using a small crochet hook, pull the fold through one of the head stitches just under the hat brim. Repeat around the whole head.
